Frenectomy
Frena are tiny tissue folds that run beneath the tongue, between the upper lip, inside the lower lip, and between the cheeks and the gums. A frenectomy (or frenuloplasty) is a simple operation performed to loosen the connection between the frenum and the jawbone and increase range of motion, or eradicate the ill-effects the excessive muscle pull has on the dento-alveolar structures and teeth.
